Des d’un punt de vista microscòpic la matèria està formada per unes partícules anomenades àtoms. D’àtoms n’hi ha de diferents tipus. Al conjunt d’àtoms de cada tipus l’anomenem element químic. Els elements els tenim classificats a la taula periòdica mitjançant uns símbols: Hidrogen = H, Oxigen = O, Or = Au, Ferro = Fe, Coure = Cu … Segur que moltes vegades us heu preguntat de quina estan fetes les coses. Tot el que ens envolta, tot el que existeix en l'univers està format per matèria, però què és la matèria?
